Taken shortly after the enforced confinement restrictions were lifted in Spain in response to the global pandemic in 2020. These photos mark the beginning of processing our collective reemergence, not back into a known reality, but a strange, uncertain one. Documenting what felt different in this time provided me with a small sense of relief, a way to piece together what was being called the "new normal".
